If you are anything like me, then you have a garden overflowing with tomatoes right now and are dying for recipes to use more of them! I created this fresh tomato sauce from tomatoes still warm from the sunny garden. It is simple and designed to be able to whip up in a couple minutes because this is all about summer cooking when the sooner you can turn off the stove, the better!
This is a super basic recipe with so many possible add-ins:
spices: oregano, celery seed, rosemary, thyme, garlic, onion, chipotle peppers
veggies: zucchini, carrots, celery, bell peppers
meats: ground beef, chicken, turkey, sausage
